About the Foundation

The vision for the FOUNDATION FOR THE VULNERABLE (VFound) came alive when in the course of academic research in the rural communities of Benue state in 2004; It was observed that two tablets of paracetamol healed a girl of running fever that incapacitated her for two weeks. It was developed out of a heart of love and compassion for the poor marginalized, vulnerable disadvantaged in the society. The foundation is a non-governmental, not-for-society. The foundation is a non-governmental, not-for-profits, non-political organization established in 2009 and registered in January 2012 with the Corporate Affairs Commission RC CAC/IT/No36778

The CEO and Founder

Nguveren Comfort Targema holds a doctorate degree (PhD) in Parasitology and is married with children and grandchildren. She is an educationist, an advocate of health- care provision and a good team -player. She has the ability to work in rural and urban communities. She is a member of the prestigious Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN). She is the Founder and Executive Director of an NGO called Foundation for the Vulnerable. The foundation has touched lives positively in the areas of education, health, economic empowerment of youth and women.
